Description
Syzygium cumini is commonly known as Malabar plum, java plum, black plum or jamun. It is evergreen tropical tree in the flowering plant family Myrtaceae, and favored for its fruits, timber and commercial value. It is slightly acidic flavor, and eaten raw and also made into sauces or jam. Jamun powder is made from the pulp/juice of the jamun fruit.
